Just Jot It January 12th – Skulls.

What an unusual word choice for Linda’s Just Jot it January prompt today! Now, funnily enough, I do like a skull! I know that might sound a bit macabre but there are plenty of designs out there that feature skulls and can even look quite pretty. As you can see below, this is quite cute. I actually broke the inside of it so my tablet kept falling out (thank God I didn’t break it). I was at a patient’s house and he admired it (he was the one that showed me his toenails that he kept after they had been removed) so I told him he could have it when I got a new one!

I also have a dress that I made with skull fabric which I thought was quite nice and Miss Hap looks so cute in hers with matching bandana! I have a skull hairclip as well actually!

A skull can give away so much about a person too. A few months ago, I took a Future Learn course ‘Identifying the Dead’Β which was extremely interesting. If you are into forensics, it is a fascinating course that has penty of interaction, and was actually great fun too!

  1. Miss Hap is a beauty!
I can see she looks like you.
I don’t share your love of skulls, but I agree there are some gorgeous designs including skulls and a mass of wonderful doodles.
My computer crashed again! 😫 The lovely Dr.Dave will need to return.

    1. It is funny, but neither of us think we look like each other, but thanks so much for the compliment, she is indeed a beauty. I am sorry your computer has crashed again, I hope Dr Dave can fix it soon. xx

  2. I love the dress and the case even though I never were ibto the “fashiobable” skulls. Funny: I’m going to do a Future Learn course in February. Something with reading and mental health and Stephen Fry will be in a video. Sorry I was up at 2am and writing blog posts for three days. Can’t really concentrate anymore πŸ™‚

      1. Yes I had a look at the blog post the teachers did about how a sonnet can comfort us and there are so many great comments already. Actually I was shattered in the afternoon. Now that I should be going to bed I’m wide awake. Hope my mug of Good Night tea helps πŸ™‚

  3. I have nothing skull. I don’t like skulls. Moo and Sassy have some skull things. Moo painted a “lovely” decorative skull for Dio de las Muertos. :/ lol
I do not want to go to that class, lol — you shoulda seen my face, Judy! God love ya, I’m glad there are more people like you than me πŸ˜‰

    1. Ha HA! Oh, you are funny, Joey. Some of those Day of the Dead skulls are really pretty. Miss Hap drew one for her Art homework at school last year and I loved it. I had never even heard of it before then.
Perhaps you could write about ‘skull’duggery or something for today’s prompt! πŸ™‚

  4. Mis Hap…is adorable. What a great pic, and a unique dress ! Your fascination with skulls…so interesting. Maybe you should pursue that interest in Forensics, or even Anthropology ?? πŸ’€πŸ’€πŸ’€
